WORKSHOP 1 – Overheads
Date: 2nd April 2022

During this workshop Coco will be covering all of the components involved in Log press, Barbell press and Monster Dumbbell. He will delve into programming concepts for optimal overhead strength, maintenance, common ailments plus how to warm up and warm down effectively.
This workshop will begin by taking you back to basics, using a barbell and working through the muscle groups used. It will then move onto the more popular Strongman pressing movements Log press and Monster Dumbbell.
As well as the pressing, this workshop will also look at the most efficient and safe ways to clean the above implements.
With Coco’s understanding of shoulder biomechanics and experience in shoulder rehabilitation this workshop is not to be missed if you have an upcoming competition that has any form of overhead events or your overheads simply aren’t progressing then this event is for you!
WORKSHOP 2 – DEADLIFTS

The conventional Deadlift is a fundamental lift in strength training and lays the general foundation for all styles of Strongman Deadlifts such as Axle and Silver dollar.
Regardless of the Deadlift being a staple lift for building strength as well as everyday life it is not a simple lift, it is quite complex and requires an understanding of the body’s biomechanics, the specific athletes mobility and prior injuries if any.
During this workshop Coco will be covering all of the components involved in the Deadlift, breaking down each step of the movement as well as providing you with the correct tools to continue building this lift efficiently and safely. He will delve into programming concepts for optimal Deadlift progression, maintenance, common ailments plus how to warm up and warm down effectively.
WORKSHOP 3 – ATLAS STONES

The Atlas stone is considered one of the truest tests of strength Strongman has to offer and one of the most favourite events among Strongman enthusiasts.
Lifting an Atlas stone will require basically everything contracting from head to toe, it is an all over body exercise which requires a great emphasis on technique to prevent injury and ensure the lift is progressing.
During this workshop Coco will be covering all the components involved in lifting an Atlas stone, what assisted him in lifting a 205kg stone to win the event at Australia’s Strongest and breaking down each step of the movement as well as providing you with drills, accessory lifts and tips to strengthen this lift.
